Our classes
A play group meeting from 10 AM to 12 PM. This group is a teacher lead parent-child group. The group has the opportunity to learn Swedish in a creative and fun setting, where they sing, read, play and do crafts together. The parent in the class has to speak Swedish.

The children in this group are bit older and speak Swedish. The parents leave the children with us between 10 AM and 12 PM. The teachers teach the children Swedish through singing, reading and play. The children in this group speak Swedish fluently and the parents leave the children with us between 10 AM and 1PM. Junibacken uses the Swedish kindergarten material "Trulle". The "Trulle" material prepares the children for reading. The children in this group speak Swedish fluently and they have to be able to read a bit in order to follow the class. The parents leave the children with us between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM and the children, parents and teachers eat lunch together at 12:30 PM. The class uses "Svenska som kompletterande undervisning" from Skolverket in Sweden and the study material used is from Sweden.
The children are left with us between 10 AM and 1 PM. This group consists of children who has Swedish as a spoken language at home, but who do not speak Swedish fluently. This group works hard learning how to speak, write and read Swedish, and to learn about Swedish culture.
The children have to have a certain level of fluency in the Swedish language and they have to be able to sit still for a longer period.
Junibacken and Mattisborgen test the children's language skills before the are accepted in class.
